Everything basic but the beats

Focus on the things that matter. Get the basics right. That’s the Pirate way. Arial was selected as the brand’s corporate typeface — freely licenced and accessible to all. We stripped away the corporate logo to emphasise the URL. We hijacked the sound recording symbol ℗ to act as a digital shorthand, using a glyph from the Arial typeface. Clear and direct. Against the status quo.

Make some noise

Forget fame and facade. Pirate exists to break down barriers. They empower artists to create something real. The brand creates impact and celebrates creative communities around the world. Applications use three settings of typographic stretch to create a distinctive aesthetic.

Coming in loud and clear

At locations around the world, place names are free-stretched on exterior frontages. Interior wayfinding repurposes an off-the-shelf modular racking system, reducing fit-out costs through an ownable and consistent approach.
