New client: Helbers Paris

Paul Helbers is a veteran French menswear designer. Following five years as Head of Menswear at Maison Martin Margiela, Paul joined Louis Vuitton in 2006 as Menswear Director. Since 2012 he has been working as a creative consultant and director, whilst preparing to launch his own menswear brand.

Over the past few months Only have been working closely with Paul to create a brand identity for his namesake menswear brand, dubbed Helbers. Debuting in Paris during Men’s fashion week, Helbers Paris will present the essential edit of what the modern man needs, without inundating him product.

The line will consist of highly functional products including tailoring, knits, sportswear, shoes and bags, all centring on the notion of care and the value of longevity. Combining abstract methods and ideas with artisanal craft, each piece will contain a hybrid quality and a feeling of unpolished elegance, underlined by a subtle clash of contrasting fabrics.

As we continue to work with Paul to finalise details of the Helbers brand identity the label is set to debut an edited 20-piece collection later this month.
